The Star Tours - The Adventure Continue attraction is located in the Tomorrowland area of Disneyland Park at the Disneyland Resort. The current version of the attraction opened on May 20, 2011, with the original version, Star Tours opening on January 9, 1987. The updated ride system consists of high-defination video, a Dolby 3D high definition screen and an improved motion simulator with newly added special effects.
Guests board a Starspeeder 1000 (40-seat flight simulator), under the control of C-3PO, who was on-board to do some repairs before unkowingly becoming the pilot along with R2-D2. After launch you will face Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, or a probe droid before escaping and experiencing different locations around the Star Wars universe all in order to deliver a rebel spy who was stashed on board. With 21 random segments available, your adventure will rarely be exactly the same and according to Disney there are over 50 different story combinations.
This attraction is also located at Disney's Hollywood Studios (Florida), Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Park (Paris).
It was announced at Destination D23 in the summer of 2023, there would be new adventures coming to Star Tours at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disneyland Park (California) and Disneyland Park (Paris) as well as the addition of the character Ahsoka Tano in Spring of 2024.
