Featured Disneyland Resort Attraction: Jumpin' Jellyfish

Each week (maybe more often) I will feature a random current attraction from the Disneyland Resort here on the Talking Disney Podcast website. The first random featured attraction we are highlighting is the Jumpin’ Jellyfish at Disney California Adventure Park.

The Jumpin' Jellyfish attraction is located in Paradise Gardens Park of Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort. The attraction opened on February 8, 2001 and is an original Disney California Adventure Park attraction.

The parachute-style ride has two 40-foot tall kelp bed towers with 12 jellyfish themed ride vehicles (6 per tower). The jellyfish take 2 riders per vehicle up the tower, where you can view Paradise Bay (if you happen to be on that side) and then gracefully glide down and then up, over and over until they make their way back to the bottom, similar to the way a jellyfish glides through the water. The attraction does close early on certain nights to accommodate the World of Color performance.
