Today in Disney History (January 7, 2012)

"Pop in to this Mary Poppins-themed eatery to enjoy a variety of fresh pastries, hearty sandwiches, breakfast favorites, sweet treats and more." - Disneyland website.

The Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe opened on this date in 2012. It is located at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California on the far west end of Main Street, U.S.A. near the entrance to Adventureland. The building housed the Plaza Pavillion Restaurant (see photo below) from July 17, 1955 to July 1998 (according to D23.com). After the Plaza Pavillion Restaurant closed it became an annual passport processing center from November 2000 to June 6, 2004. Starting on May 5, 2005 the patio area was themed to a Main Street Fair with pin trading, a pianist, lemonade stand and a Jr. Chef Baking Experience.
