Meet Rex from “Toy Story” at Pixar Pier

This year Pixar Animation Studios is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the film “Toy Story.” In honor of this anniversary, Rex will make his debut in Disney California Adventure for a limited time beginning on June 1, 2025. Pixar Animation Studios film “Toy Story,” released on November 22, 1995 , was the start of a storied franchise that includes “Toy Story 2” (1999), “Toy Story 3” (2010), “Toy Story 4” (2019) and and the soon to be released “Toy Story 5” (2026). As well as several spin-offs, short films, animated series and television specials. Rex is a recurring character in most of the Toy Story franchise releases. He is a naive, neurotic, plastic Tyrannosaurus rex with a lot of anxiety and an inferiority complex. One of his biggest fears in the beginning is that Andy will get another, more intimidating dinosaur.
